The core objective is to defeat your opponent in one-on-one combat by depleting their life bar before time runs out. Moment-to-moment play involves moving your character around the 2D plane, using a combination of normal attacks, special moves, and super moves. The challenge rhythm is fast-paced, with rounds often decided by quick punishes and combo opportunities.
