StarCraft 64 is a real-time strategy game where you command one of three unique alien races—Terran, Zerg, or Protoss—to gather resources, build a base, and create an army to defeat your opponent. Your core objective is to manage your economy by harvesting minerals and vespene gas with worker units, then constructing buildings that unlock more advanced units and technologies. You must balance expansion, defense, and scouting while preparing your forces for attack. A useful beginner strategy is to focus on one race initially, learn its tech tree, and practice building a balanced army composition. The challenge rhythm involves early-game resource gathering and base building, mid-game unit production and map control, and tense late-game battles where micromanagement of your army's special abilities can decide the outcome. In the early moments of a match, focus on building enough workers and securing your base. During the middle phase, expand to new resource nodes and harass your enemy.
