In Super Mario World, your goal is to guide Mario or Luigi through a series of levels across seven worlds to rescue Princess Toadstool. You run and jump to defeat enemies like Goombas and Koopa Troopas, often by jumping on their heads. You can collect power-ups: the Super Mushroom makes you larger and able to take an extra hit, the Fire Flower lets you throw fireballs, and the Cape Feather allows you to glide and perform a spin attack. A key feature is Yoshi, a dinosaur companion you can ride; he can eat enemies and, if he eats a colored shell, gain a special ability like spitting fire. The game features secret exits and multiple paths, so exploration is rewarded. In the early game, focus on learning the controls and finding power-ups to survive longer. As you progress, master the cape glide to reach hidden areas and discover keyholes that unlock Star Road, a secret world with challenging stages. During tense moments, such as boss fights against the Koopalings, watch their patterns and use your abilities strategically—for example, bouncing Bowser's mech attacks back at him.
