Your primary goal is to guide Harry Potter and his friends through their first four years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The game is played from a third-person perspective, and you'll explore iconic locations, solve environmental puzzles by using character-specific spells, and collect LEGO studs which act as the in-game currency. In the early stages, focus on learning the basic spell-casting mechanics and familiarizing yourself with the touch screen controls for selecting spells on the DS. The core gameplay loop involves switching between characters like Harry, Ron, and Hermione to use their unique abilities to overcome obstacles; for example, only Hermione can repair certain objects, while Ron can summon his pet rat Scabbers.
