The game is played on a 2D plane where you move your character left and right, jump, and use a basic attack button combined with directional inputs to perform different combos. Each character has a unique set of special moves, typically executed by pressing a combination of the direction pad and the attack button. A super move gauge fills as you land hits or take damage, allowing you to unleash a powerful finishing attack when full. The core gameplay loop involves learning your character's move set, recognizing openings in your opponent's defense, and timing your attacks to create effective combos. As a beginner, focus on mastering a single character's basic attacks and one or two easy special moves. Pay attention to the distance between you and your opponent to avoid being hit by their long-range attacks.
